Paddle Length
Length is a personal choice. What we get used to is often what we like. I will build you whatever size you request.
Common sizes include: 48”, 50”, 52” and 54”.
For those not sure of the length or wish to explore the mechanics of paddling, I would suggest the following.

- Sit in the seat of your canoe with the paddle vertical, your top arm straight out (90˚) from your shoulder, and the blade fully submersed. Measure from the grip (at the top of the paddle) to the water (top of the fully submersed blade) in this position. Add to this measurement, 18 inches for the length of the blade. That will give you the recommended length for your paddle.
